Representative results:migration and enrichment rule of coal-bed gas, which includethe following aspects,

lDynamic module of methane adsorption and desorption process in coalwas proposed;

lEstablishment of the coal-bed gas seepage equation under the joint action of ground stress field and geothermal field;

lComing up withcalculation formula of pressure, ground temperature and coal-bed burial depth under the closed system and open system;

lOffering the mathematic module of PSA process for coal-bed gas, and adopts the PSA technology of double column multi-cycle with modified active carbon as sorbent, to make the concentration and purification of the gas up to 90%;

lTo combine ground stress, geothermal field with coal-bed gas seepage features together for the first time, and put forward the theory of safe mining of deep coal;

lAchievements: one Second Prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress, 5 first and second prizes of provincial Scientific and Technological Progress, with 6 monographs and over 150 research papers published.

Representative results:Fundamental researchon coal mine dynamic disaster mechanism and prediction theory

Since the establishment in 1935, Chongqing University has been long engaged in the study of coal mine dynamic disaster mechanism and predicting theory. The project of “Protective Layer Mining” launched in 1950 won the prize of Rocket Award of Ministry of Coal Industry; in 1978, the project of “Close Seam Protective Layer Mining Techniques and CMM” won the award in National Science Conference.

lAdvancing a theoretical calculation method of coal-bed gas stress, gas content and gas compress ion;

lSetting up a constitutive module of coal containing gas coupled elastoplastic damage and fracture failure criterion;

lCreating a theoretical system and methodforpredictionofcoal and gas outburst potential danger zone from the viewpoint of mechanics, which was applied to forecast the outburst potential danger of coal and gas in Chongqing Yutianbao Coal Mine and Henan Pingdingshan Eighth Mine, showingthatthe method is reasonable and practicable;

lAchievements including one third prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress, three first and second prizes of Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress, with 4 monographs and over100 research papers published.

Representative results:Fundamental research on control theory of complex coal seam gas disaster, techniques and equipments

lDeveloping the mode of high pressure water jet meshing pre-pumping coal-bed gas governance and coal mine gas disaster;

lDeveloping the speedy CMM technology integrated with drilling, grooving, cavitation acoustic shock, solid abrasive support and directional fracturing;

lInventing a key technical device of high pressure water jet pre-pumping the gas control coal and gas outburst disaster;

lBeing conferred with 1 second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress, 2 first and second prizes of Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress, with 7 authorized patents, 3 monographs and over 200 papers published, among which more than 100 papers can be retrieved in SCI and EI;

lThe achievement has been successfully applied in over 70 coal mines in Chongqing, Guizhou, Sichuan, Henan and Shanxi.
