摘要:Consider a transient branching random walk (BRW) on a non-elementary hyperbolic group. Using the thermodynamic formalism of the hyperbolic group, we express the growth rate of the BRW as the solution to a variational problem driven by the connectivity function. As a consequence, we prove that the rate is bounded by one half of volume entropy, and the equality holds only when the group is virtually free.
