ABOUT

Journal of Architectural Education in Institutions of Higher Learning, a professional educational academic journal (bimonthly) supervised by China Association of Construction Education and run by Chongqing University, was initiated in 1985 and started official publication in 1992. Its major columns include: Development and Reform for Education of Higher Learning, Theories on Architectural Education, Belt and Road Initiative and Engineering Education, Studies and Evaluations of Engineering Education, Comparisons between Chinese and Foreign Architectural Education, Curriculum Construction and Teaching Reform, Ideological and Political Curriculum as well as Ideological and Political Theories Teaching in All Courses, Scientific Culture Transmission and Education, University Management and Campus Culture.

Going with the tide where natural science is getting closely linked with social science, the journal, from a humanistic perspective, gains deeper insight into architectural education. It weighs equally both hard and soft science, both technicality and applicability, and both theories and practices. An academic platform for studies into higher architectural education and an educational platform to foster architectural professionals, Journal of Architectural Education in Institutions of Higher Learning is committed to steering educational reform practices through scientific educational theories, exploring higher architectural education theories and laws with Chinese characteristics, and publishing research findings on education of higher learning. In addition, it is devoted to revealing and discussing about the new situation, new problems, new ideas and newly learned experience on education reform, in an effort to fuel the constant development of architectural education theories and practices among institutions of higher learning.

Currently the Journal of Architectural Education in Institutions of Higher Learning serves as a core (extended edition) Chinese academic journal of RCCSE, a core journal of National Press Index and a Class A journal of Chongqing. It has been included by China Core Journal Alternative Database, CAJCED, China Journal Net, China Science Periodical (CD) Database, ChinaInfo.com, Qikan.com and bookan.com.cn. It is the winner, many times, of Chinese University Excellent Social Science Journal, the first prize winner of China’s Online Excellent Journal for Scientific Papers and the winner of Quality Progress Award for Social Science Journal of Chinese University of Science, Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine. Moreover, has won the awards of Excellent Editorial Board of Chinese University of Science, Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine, Excellent University Journal Team of Chongqing, Chongqing’s Journal with Excellent Articles, Outstanding Academic Journal of Chongqing, etc.
