From April 8 to 10, 2022, the 10th Asian Conference on Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning (ACRA), hosted by the Chinese Association of Refrigeration and co-organized by Zhejiang University and the Chongqing Association of Refrigeration, was successfully held online.
The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by 2022 annual chairman of ACRA, Professor Chen Guangming from Zhejiang University, and Mr. Meng Qingguo, the special chairman of Chinese Association of Refrigeration, delivered an opening speech at the conference.Experts and scholars in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning from China, Japan, South Korea and other Asian countries and regions carried out wonderful academic exchanges and achievement reports online. Receiving nearly 200 papers and abstracts, academic exchanges were carried out in the main forum and 18 sub-forums. The development of refrigeration and air-conditioning technology provides a solid guarantee for the construction of a low-carbon and healthy society, and the seminar showcased the latest achievements in academic, technical and promotion applications in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning in Asia in the past two years.
Lu Jun, the chairman of the Chongqing Association of Refrigeration, and professor of the School of Civil Engineering (SCE) at Chongqing University (CQU), as the chairman of the sub-forum, presided over the academic discussion of the “Indoor Air Quality and Thermal Comfort” forum on the morning of the 10th. The theme of this seminar is human thermal comfort in low-carbon buildings and building air quality improvement, with six experts from different industries making academic reports and having lively discussions.
SCE Teachers and students watched the live video of the conference and conducted in-depth academic discussions in the meeting room of the SCE.
The conference provided a rare learning and communication platform for teachers and students in the field of architecture and environmental research, which enhanced the students' sense of mission to utilize their professional knowledge to promote the realization of the goal of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality".
