Biography:

Ran Jing-yu, Ph.D, Professor. Deputy dean ofschool of energy and power engineering, Chongqing university; Deputy director of the key laboratory of low-grade energy utilization technology and systems of the ministry of education; Director of energy and environment research institute, Chongqing university. Vice chairman of Chongqing energy research institute; Vice President of Chongqing institute of refrigeration; Member of the committee of combustion science of Chinese society of engineering thermophysics; Member, multiphase flow committee, Chinese society of engineering thermophysics.

He has been engaged in the teaching, research and application of combustion science, energy conservation and emission reduction. He is the academic leader of the discipline of combustion and energy conservation and emission reduction in Chongqing university. Editorial board of Advances in Energy Research(ERi), an International Journal, Journal of Energy and Power Engineering, Chinese Journal of Engineering. In 2008. He was awarded as "Young backbone teachers in colleges and universities of Chongqing", winner of "New century excellent talents program of the ministry of education" in 2008, and "Top ten experts with outstanding contributions to energy conservation and emission reduction in Chongqing".
