lecturerProfessor Li Yongfang, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences

Lecture time: November 11, 2019 (Monday) 10:00 am

Lecture Venue: 303, School of Energy and Power Engineering

Lecture content

Academician Li Yongfang was born in 1948 on the eve of liberation. At the age of 4, he went with his parents to a remote village in Sui County, Henan Province. When I was 10 to 15 years old, I was hungry when I was growing up. I encountered the Cultural Revolution when I was about to graduate from high school in 1966. Later, I returned to the village to work in farming in 1968. It was the age of learning that I lost school. The golden age of life is a farmer at the age of 20-29. In 1977, he seized the opportunity to resume the college entrance examination. At the age of 29, he entered the East China Institute of Chemical Technology (now East China University of Science and Technology) majoring in antibiotics (now majoring in bioengineering) to study at a university. Since then embarked on the road of scientific research. In the report, Academician Li will introduce his life trajectory and talk about his life perception: love + heart + hard work + serious = success.

Academician Li's current research field is polymer solar cell photovoltaic materials and devices. Polymer solar cells have outstanding advantages such as simple device structure and preparation process, light weight, flexible and translucent devices, etc., and have become one of the research hotspots at home and abroad. The complementary absorption and energy level matching of donor and acceptor photovoltaic materials are the key to obtaining high-efficiency polymer solar cells. The lecture will introduce the development history of polymer solar cell photovoltaic materials and devices, the molecular design strategies of efficient donor and acceptor photovoltaic materials, and the latest research progress of polymer solar cell photovoltaic materials and devices. In recent years, the research of polymer solar cells has developed rapidly, and the energy conversion efficiency has rapidly increased to a level of 15-16%, reaching a stage where development and efforts can be made to practical applications.

Introduction of the presenterLi Yongfang was born in Chongqing on August 10, 1948, native place: Suixian County, Henan Province.

Education background:

1978.2.-1979.8. East China Institute of Chemical Technology (now East China University of Science and Technology) majored in antibiotics (now East China University of Science and Technology), went to university (level seven or seven). In 1979, he was admitted to graduate school in advance.

In 1982, he obtained a master's degree in physical chemistry from the Chemistry Department of East China Institute of Chemical Technology.

In 1986, he received a doctorate degree in physical chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, Fudan University. (Supervisor: Academician Wu Haoqing)

Research Experience:

1986.8.-1988.8. Postdoctoral Fellow, Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Cooperative Supervisor: Academician Qian Renyuan).

1988. 9. After leaving the station, post-doctorate stayed at the Institute of Chemistry and was promoted to researcher in 1993.

1988.10.-1991.4. Visiting scholar at the Institute of Molecular Science, Japan.

1997.6.-1998.6. Visiting scholar at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB).

Since December 2012, he has been employed as a distinguished professor of the Department of Materials, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Soochow University.

Elected as a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2013

The current editor-in-chief of "Polymer Bulletin", associate editor of "Science in China-Chemistry", and president of Beijing Energy and Environment Society. Mainly engaged in the research of polymer solar cell photovoltaic materials and devices, he has published more than 700 research papers, and more than 120 academic conference reports and invited reports at home and abroad. Published papers have been cited more than 40,000 times by others in the SCI, h-factor 101. In 2012, he won the "Macro2012 Lecture Award" from the American Chemical Society, and was selected as a member of the 21 list of "Hottest Scientific Researchers" released by Thomson Reuters in 2013, and material science in 2014 Fields and the list of "Highly Cited Researchers" in the fields of materials science and chemistry from 2015 to 2018.
