On the morning of April 23, 2024, Director Zhang Ying, Deputy Director Guo Chenzi, and Deputy Director Ding Shuai of Light Academic Publishing Center paid a visit to the School of Optoelectronic Engineering. Vice Dean Wei Wei, together with faculty and student representatives, attended the exchange meeting.

Wei Wei enthusiastically welcomed Zhang Ying and his colleagues. He discussed the school’s history and current accomplishments, as well as the faculty members' research and publishing status. He expressed his hope for further strengthening academic exchange, encouraging the publication of high-level academic papers, facilitating talent cultivation, and providing stronger support for the establishment of "double world-class” university and discipline.

Zhang Ying presented an overview of the Light Academic Publishing Center, including the editorial team construction, the development of brand influence, and service capacity building. Guo Chenzi and Ding Shuai then introduced the "eLight" and "LAM" journals, including their current status, international impact enhancement, and other relevant information.

The two sides had in-depth talks and exchanges about manuscript sources, peer review, and paper innovation, sharing their opinions and experiences. This exchange meeting allowed researchers to interact directly with journal editors and learn about the submission requirements of prestigious journals, thereby boosting the progress of research activity in the school and research teams.
