The Key Disciplines Laboratory of Novel Micro-Nano Devices and System Technology of Chongqing University is a multidiscipline research center involves electronics, optics, mechanics, information technology, biology, physics, chemistry, etc. As one of the earliest R&D centers in Micro Eletro-Mechanical System (MEMS) in China, the laboratory is one of the leading innovation platforms in Chongqing, and also a key-discipline platform of the national “211 Project”, “985 Project” and “Double-First Class” initiative in Chongqing University. The Laboratory has three featured research directions, including Biochemical Microsystem, Micro-energy devices and system and Novel Micro/nano Devices, it has also been facilitated by advanced MEMS design and simulation platform, MEMS Manufacturing, as well as MEMS testing and processing platform. The Laboratory has a young and middle-aged research team full of creativity and braveness in research. Furthermore, it is an indispensable part of the “Double-First Class” discipline infrastructure in Chongqing University.

The Laboratory has established four research bases, National Center for International Research of Micro-Nano System and New Materials Technology, Chongqing Joint Engineering Research Center for Instrumentation and Measurement System, China Academy of Engineering Physics and institutes of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation— Micro-Nano Devices and System of Chongqing University Joint Laboratory and Chongqing Innovation Research Institute for Military and Civilian Integration. And it has been keeping cooperative relationships in projects and scholar exchanges with many international and national first-class institutes, universities and enterprises, such as Fraunhofer Institute of Engineering (Germany), Chemnitz University (Germany), Santa Ana University (Italy), UCSB University (USA), University of New South Wales in Australia, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Harbin Institute of Technology, China Academy of Engineering Physics and institutes of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation.

The key laboratory is capable of new process development and new structure verification in micro/nano fabrications, providing technical services from general technical consultation to single step processing and process-oriented integration.
