Research Interests

(1)Wireless Power TransferTechnology and Applications

With the help of electromagnetic field, microwave, laser and other soft media, wireless power transfer (WPT) technology can realize the transmission of electric energy from power supply to electrical equipment without physical connection. This technology is a hot spot in the research and development of modern electrical technology. As an important branch of WPT technology, electromagnetic resonant coupling is the most likely means to provide solutions for wireless power supply of electrical equipment. It can be applied to electrified vehicles (electric vehicles, subwaycars, electrified trains, etc.), mining locomotives, all kinds of mobile devices in special environment, etc., to realize wireless charging / real-time wireless power supply for high-power mobile electrical equipments; itcanalso be applied to household appliances and all kinds of consumer electronic products (such as mobile phones, tablet computers, etc.), to realize flexible and convenient wireless charging. As a special power flexible access and transmission mode, wireless power transmission system has attracted more and more attention due to its broad market prospect and scientific research value.

This direction focuses on the systematic research of common theoretical/technical problems of WPT systems, tackles the major key technologies for the promotion of WPT, and emphasizes the engineering application of WPT in the fields of wireless charging/power supply for electric vehicles and household appliances, and wireless power transmission for rotating mechanism (such as oil drill pipe mechanism).

(2) Modeling, Synthesis and Control ofPower Electronics Systems

As an important part of modern industrial electrical equipment, power electronic devices are widely used in various power systems, power conversion, electrical drive and other fields, and have become an important technical branch of electrical engineering. The power electronic circuit realizes the power conversion and energy control in the switch mode. Because of its switching mechanism, the system presents special nonlinear properties. This kind of nonlinear property makes the system behave as a kind of multi-mode, variable structure switch nonlinear behavior, which brings many problems to the design, implementation and optimal operation of the system. Based on the modern control theory and nonlinear system modeling theory, the nonlinear model construction, simulation algorithm research, system parameter optimization and nonlinear control of power electronics are studied.
